Someday I’ll leave my house and look for a job. Someday I’ll quit this job and travel the world. Someday I’ll start my own business. Someday I’ll tell him about my feelings. Someday I’ll ask her to marry me. Someday I’ll get in shape. Someday I’ll run a marathon. Someday I’ll get onto the stage and sing away. Someday I’ll be the person I really want to be. Someday I’ll stop fearing the world and do what I actually want to do. Maybe not today, but definitely, someday!
You keep telling yourselves how it is good to wait, just so that something better comes up. You keep telling yourselves that maybe you aren’t good enough. You keep making excuses because deep inside you are scared of failure and rejection. So you keep postponing your dream to another day. Someday! But that someday to be happy is today. Today is the day you break free of those chains that keep holding you back, and go on to fly. Our lives aren’t decided, we create our lives from our actions. Stop waiting for things to happen. Get busy making it happen. And don’t stop until it’s done. If something is blocking your door to success, get the tools and built another door.

There will be no better time to start working towards your goal, than today. Stop procrastinating. You may be lazy or scared, either way you are avoiding yourself from the best journey, a journey that would help you to discover the best of you. Discover your passion, realize that you are capable, utilize your unique abilities, to live your dreams. Maybe someday, you’ll wake up to realize you don’t any more time left to do the things you’ve always wanted to do, but didn’t because you were too busy wasting time in unnecessary pleasures or you were avoiding pain. New experiences are better than regrets.
The best way to take action is listing down your goals, have a bucket list. Ask yourself some questions. How badly do I want this? What will happen if I don’t do this today? Am I already missing out on something? What happens if I start today? What is stooping me right now? Is it fear or is it comfort? After introspecting into your current actions and future goals, you will realize that the first thing to do is to begin working on it right away. This motivation will keep you on. Remember you may fail, but you can’t give up. If you feel like quitting, remember why started in the first place.
Present is the gift. Today is the day you start. Far from the regrets of the past, and anxieties of the tomorrow, today is the day you can be who you want to be.
